Blocklayer — Karaye

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Karaye, Kano State. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Day-to-day duties: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Six days a week, one day off.
