Earthmoving equipment operator — Cumberland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Cumberland County, Virginia. You will work at a land-clearing site. Requirements: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes On the job you will handle: • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals Meals and transport allowance provided.
