Blocklayer — Egbeda

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Egbeda, Oyo State. The job is on a busy housing site. On the job you will handle: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Six days a week, one day off.
