Overlocker operator — Coles County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Coles County, Illinois. The role involves inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
