Fusing press operator — Monterey County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Monterey County, California. The job is at a garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day to day you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
