Immediate opening: sewing machine operator (Kano State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Tsanyawa, Kano State. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
