Join our team: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Peterborough, England. On the job you will handle: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square You should have: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
