Gtaw welder — Grant County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Grant County, Washington. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Rotating shifts.
