Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Jerome County, Idaho. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
