Production welder — Hancock County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a production welder in Hancock County, Iowa. The role involves: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
