Shakeout operator • Thomas County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Thomas County, Georgia. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
