Die-casting operator wanted in Bedford

Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Bedford, England. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 5+ years on the tools preferred.
