We are recruiting: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Derby, England. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
