Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Lee County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
