Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Defiance County, Ohio. On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Rotating shifts.
