Immediate opening: cement mason (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cement mason in Polk County, Texas. The job is at an infrastructure site. Requirements: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Your main tasks: • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
