Trowel-trade bricklayer • Hanover County, Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Hanover County, Virginia. You will be based on a commercial construction site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $140 per day plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
