Core maker — Ikot Ekpene

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer ₦750 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
