Foundry operative wanted in Sullivan County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Sullivan County, Indiana. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
