Paint and prep technician — Smith County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in Smith County, Tennessee. The job is in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Requirements: • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Comfortable working in a spray booth with full PPE You will mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code; apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair.
