Floor screeder • LaPorte County, Indiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a floor screeder in LaPorte County, Indiana. The job is on a road and bridge project. The role involves: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
