Press shop operator — Wallowa County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press shop operator in Wallowa County, Oregon. You will be based in a sheet metal stamping unit. You should have: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Day to day you will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
