Rigger — Crawford County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Crawford County, Iowa. You will work on a high-rise building site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Full-time, day shift.
