Heavy equipment operator — Stanton County

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Stanton County, Kansas. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Your main tasks: • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
