Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Midland County, Michigan. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding We offer $180 per day plus benefits.
