Brick mason — Mower County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Mower County, Minnesota. You will work on a busy housing site. The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
