Foundry operative — Pawnee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Pawnee County, Kansas. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
