Immediate opening: we are hiring a dogger in Marshall County, Kentucky. The job is at a container port. Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
