Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Wayne County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
