Vacancy available: we are hiring a cement mason in Macoupin County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet Day to day you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength.
