Single needle operator wanted in Clay County

Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Clay County, Kentucky. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. You will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
