Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges The role involves run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm.
