The role involves: • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio Requirements: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
