Overlocker operator — Worcester County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Worcester County, Maryland. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
