Immediate opening: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Nassau County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Able to read load charts and lifting plans 6+ years on the tools preferred.
