Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Linn County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
