Surface coating operator — Highland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a surface coating operator in Highland County, Virginia. You will be based in a metal finishing workshop. Ideal candidate: • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes • 1-2 years experience in powder coating or spray painting Day-to-day duties: • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches • Reclaim and sieve overspray powder for reuse • Mask off threads, holes and machined faces with caps and tape • Sieve and load powder into the spray gun hopper • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun Full-time with occasional weekends.
