Overlocker operator • McDonough County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in McDonough County, Illinois. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
