Lathe operator — Wasco County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in Wasco County, Oregon. You should have: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings You will monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
