Core maker — Kingfisher County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
