Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Hickman County, Tennessee. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
