Now hiring: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in Jim Wells County, Texas. You will be based at a busy body shop. You should have: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Keen attention to detail and a steady hand On a typical shift you will apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting. Six days a week, one day off. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
