Bar bender and fixer — Sandusky County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Sandusky County, Ohio. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
