Blocklayer — Agege

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Agege, Lagos State. You will be based on a busy housing site. Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
