Foundry labourer wanted in Ellis County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Ellis County, Texas. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
