Backhoe loader operator — Clinton County

Join our team: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Clinton County, Illinois. You will work at a landfill site. The role involves: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
