Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Knox County, Kentucky. You will be based at an automobile body shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test On a typical shift you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch.
