Hoist operator — Polk County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Polk County, Arkansas. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. Requirements: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging 5+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
