Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Carroll County, Virginia. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day to day you will take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. Ideal candidate: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
