Laundry presser — Portage County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a laundry presser in Portage County, Ohio. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
